Open Contests

Any adult poet, age 18 and above, may submit poems to open contests. PSC membership is not required.

For details about upcoming open contests, please visit the "Calendar" tab and scroll to the month you are interested in. This can be accessed at the following link: Calendar – Poetry Society of Colorado

To submit poems to open contests, please complete the form below, pay the entry fee of $5.00 per poem (up to three per contest), and upload your entries in the correct format.

At the end of each organizational year (June) all of the winning poems (first, second, and third) from that year's open contests are re-judged. The winner selected wins the President's Annual Contest Award, which is accompanied by a $100 prize.
