The Poetry Society of Colorado (PSC) is a historic institution in Colorado. It was first organized in 1921 to "cultivate the love of poetry and to encourage poetic talent throughout the state.” This statement was later simplified to “promote the study, writing, and performance of poetry in Colorado.”
"We are an organization of individuals of many different vocations, interests and lifestyles. The PSC does not and shall not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender, age or sexual orientation in any of its activities or operations. We are committed to providing an inclusive environment for all poets. We welcome all poets and support those who are writing at all levels of poetic development."
The PSC meets the third Saturday of each month at Peebles, 909 Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80214, 10am. to 12:30pm. Because of COVID-19, recent meetings have been held online via Zoom. A workshop is presented at most meetings. The annual Awards Luncheon is held on the 3rd Saturday of June. Learn more about our upcoming events.
